One of the most important contemporary flamenco educators in Spain, is also an author of various publications that sold in high numbers around the world.
Among these publications is a ten volume collection "The Great Flamenco Guitars of Today Library"(written by E. Vargas and published by VG. Ediciones), which is a series of transcriptions and analysis of the recordings of leading flamenco guitarists of our times. In 2009 the Andalusian Regional Government (la Junta de Andalucía) acquired this collection for the library of the prestigious research foundation Catedra de Flamencología de Jerez.
Enrique Vargas is also the author of a three volume manual "Modal Improvisation and Melodic Construction in the Flamenco Environment", a revolutionary treatise on the modal and harmonic language of flamenco.
In 2008 E. Vargas was hired by the foundation of the legendary guitarist Paco de Lucía to do the official transcription of his emblematic CD "Almoraima". The transcription was published in 2009 by Gestion de Lucia.
Presently, E. Vargas maintains a group of carefully selected private students, most of whom are already established professionals in the field, dedicated to performing flamenco around the world.
Every now and then maestro Vargas offers masterclasses and intensive courses around the world. Recently he toured various cities in Spain, presenting a series of masterclasses together with legendary Tomatito.
In the course of his pedagogical activity, E. Vargas collaborated with leading flamenco artists like José Juménez "el Viejín", Pepe Habichuela, Rafael Riqueni, Antón Jiménez, etc.

Each one of the three workshops deals with a different aspect of flamenco modal and harmonic language, offering to the participant the opportunity to apply these concepts in a practical, hands-on setting.:

Maestro Enrique Vargas explains the correct hand position and various technical aspects of high level performance, focusing on prevention of faulty technique-caused professional ailments, as well as other anomalies which could impede a day-to-day work and practice routine of a musician.
The method used by E. Vargas is based on the concepts developed and implemented by Institut de Fisiologia i Medicina de l'Art in Tarrasa, Barcelona, an internationally famous research and treatment institution dedicated exclusively to musicians and other performing artists.
